Kenwood Tire Company started in the business when Ken Wood bought the West Bridgewater Public Library in 1962.
Due to be demolished to make way for a new high school, our unique building was originally built to house the East School in the 1830s before becoming the town library in the early 1900s.
But instead of the wrecker's ball, Ken Wood saved the beautiful building by buying it from the Town for $1.
So on a cold December morning in 1962, teachers and students lined the streets to see the old building making its way down Rt.106 and on to Rt.28 to 118 South Main Street.
